Conservatories are a great alternative to an extension. They are a cheaper option, yet are aesthetically pleasing allowing great natural light in and are excellent at keeping in the heat.
Our conservatories consist of PVC conservatories, aluminium conservatories and traditional timber conservatories. Like our window range, our conservatories come in white, rosewood, oak, black and anthracite. These are available in various styles, whether it is to suit a certain space in the garden or just to be pleasing to your eyes. We offer a simple lean-to, Victorian, gable end, Edwardian or Georgian style conservatories.
You can also have your choice of roof from polycarbonate, double glazed or lightweight tiles.

More affordable than a traditional extension, they allow light to flood in, retain heat, will usually add value to your home and look great doing it!
What’s the Difference between a Conservatory and a Sun Room?
A Conservatory may have a dwarf wall of brickwork from ground level, but is otherwise completely glazed, including the roof, whereas a Sun Room has glazed walls but a roof made of tiles, slates or other opaque material.
Enjoy it All Year Round
Traditionally, conservatories suffered from getting too hot in summer and too cold in winter, but modern technology and commonsense solutions now allow you to enjoy the extra light and space of your conservatory all year round.
Installation of underfloor heating at time of construction is an energy-efficient answer to cold winter weather, while solar control glass incorporates invisible layers that reflect solar heat, while allowing 100% of the light to pass through.
An alternative or additional lo-tech stratagem to keep cool is to use roof and window blinds, to physically block out the sun as, where and when required, while double glazing will do a great job at retaining heat in winter.
Security
A conservatory adds an extra layer of security to our home, acting as an extra barrier before reaching the door to the interior of the house.
Modern toughened glass, along with today’s security window locks and hinges act as a strong deterrent to intruders.

Planning Permission
You usually do not need planning permission for a conservatory, although if you do, we can take care of all the paperwork for you.
The Scottish Government provides a helpful guide to whether developments and alterations do or do not require planning permission. Some alterations or extensions come under “permitted development” – you require a building warrant from Building Control at the council but not planning permission. We can arrange the Building Warrant for you.
NOTE: You should always check with your council’s planning department to see whether you need to apply for planning permission. Even if you don’t, there may be other approvals you’ll need to get.
