An extremely large tree had landed on the front of the house, above the dining room causing major damage to the roof. The property is a long bungalow with a dormer upstairs. It is the dormer roof that the tree had landed on. It has smashed a number of slates and branches have pushed through the roof which are visible from either side. The guttering is also damaged.

When the team arrived on site, the tree had already been removed so we had to make a temporary repair to make it wind and watertight before the insurance company could accept our quote – we knew how extreme this was for the property owner so we managed to get down to the job the next day for them and carry out the necessary work.
When the team arrived on site, we had to take a lot of images so that the insurance company could see the extent of the damage to trusses and this could only be seen when scaffolding was erected. After a few hours of inspecting and making wind and watertight, the team had finished harping the damaged area up – images had to be sent to show that the work had been complete:
